1. PFT – Pulmonary Function Test / Spirometry
- Use: Asthma, COPD, post-COVID lung check, pre-op fitness
- Process: 30 min. Blow into handheld spirometer. Measures FEV1, FVC
- Prep: Avoid inhaler 4-6 hrs before, no heavy meal
2. FeNO – Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide
- Use: Confirms eosinophilic asthma, monitors airway inflammation
- Process: 5min. Exhale steadily into portable FeNO device
- Prep: No food/drink 1 hr before, no smoking
3. ABG – Arterial Blood Gas
- Use: ICU patients, COPD, severe asthma. Checks O2, CO2, pH
- Process: 5 min. Blood from wrist artery by trained phlebotomist
- Prep: Inform if on blood thinners. Report in 30 min
4. Sleep Study – Level 3 Home Polysomnography
- Use: Sleep apnea, snoring, daytime drowsiness, obesity
- Process: Technician sets up device at night. Records O2, airflow, snoring, heart rate while you sleep at home
- Prep: Regular sleep meds allowed. Device pickup next morning
